I’m 19, and I have always dreamed of playing professionally. I have been sidetracked by school for the last year and did not play on a team this year. My school team last year was ranked 3rd in BC, Canada.
I have %100 motivation to do whatever I need to do to get there. No matter how hard it is, I want to follow my dream as I have natural talent. I want to learn from my brothers mistake and continue playing soccer as it is what I love. My parents are Croatian and they had me playing soccer since I was 4. I’m a natural left footer in the midfield position. I do not need a job currently as I am comfortable financially and as said before willing to do whatever I need to do to pursue my dream.
Here is where I need your help. Where should I start? How should I train? and anything else you would like to add.
Id like to thank you for your time for even reading this, I really cant wait to get started and thank you for any response.
Thanks guy, Good luck with your dreams as well.
I have good stamina already, I have good speed, and I have been playing from age 4-17 , just took some years off, which was a mistake. I just need to get back into it. I will start training now.

I was playing normally for a long time. I dont start, but I usually come on about 20 minutes into the game and play most of it. So basically I play on the wing, and theres me and this other kid. I always got subbed in first, he was second choice. Then suddenly one game i lost my place, and he took my sub, and i stayed of half the game. The next game I stayed of 2/3 of the game. And then today again I stayed of more than half the game, even when that kid wasnt here. And not only that, but when i stay of that long I lose it, I start playiing like absolute sh*t. I dont have any confidence, or any motivation or will power to play anymore. After sitting for a half all I want to do is go home. And so when I come on, I cant play, I miss open nets, I cant complete a pass, my sprint is like a jog, I cant control the ball. And its happend the past few games, out of the blue. And I can’t remember a game when I played badly, my coach just dropped me out of the blue. What can I do, cause its getting me down so much I feel like quitting soccer.
Start training. Be the most hardworking person in the squad. Train longer than anybody else. Everybody takes 10 free kick for each training session , you try taking 20. Like this you can get back to the top of the game.

I edited Al Pacino’s speech in Any Given Sunday to fit some footage that I edited from Saving Private Ryan. Great speech + Great movie = __________? You tell me. Music is “Peace” by Paul Kelly. I close the video with the Remember the Titans speech delivered by Denzel Washington. This is in honor of the men and women who give their lives to serve our country. This was a fan-made video. I am currently in film school and would love a job when I graduate. -Eric Horner
I am now a senior in high school and I’m in the cross country season. I got 6th at state in the 2 mile last spring in track and I felt great going into summer training. Now I play soccer at the same time and I dont know what it is, but I feel like I can’t run the field as good as last year and on my first xc meet, I ran a terrible 5k. I just dont know what to do and i need motivation. I dont think im tiring myself out but it seems for some reason the energy isn’t there. Running is my first love and idk if I should quit soccer. Its a great team sport and I just don’t want to leave that way, especially if I dont know how much it will benefit me to quit. If theres anyone going through the same thing, please tell me and if anyone has any good advice, then that would be great.
One of the causes of motivation loss is overtraining and I really don’t know how you can be successful at both soccer and cross country, especially having achieved a level of excellence such as 6th in the state as a junior. Training for both is just draining energy and keeping you from doing well in either. If cross country is the sport you excel in and love, then do cross country and leave the soccer. Somebody should have advised you not to get into it in the first place.

ok so i haven’t done any sports since (soccer) in 6th grade and i was thinking about doing soccer again
i’m a freshman now but i go to a small school so pretty much all of the people in soccer will have already been in it other years. Also, our middle school and high school are kinda connected so if i’m kinda bad what if i get stuck with 8th graders and no one from my own grade?
and i wont know any tricks or anything…
How can i prepare? (other than running)
i just need some motivation! (personal stories help)
anything you tell me bout sports will help so thx!
Hon, if you don’t do anything, you never get anything done. Just go and try out, the rest will work itself out. Just focus on what you need to do and don’t think about anyone else. You know, thoroughbred race horses wear blinders so that they can’t see the other horses – it’s not a bad idea to try that yourself.
